Engineer,
problem-solver,
WordPress builder.

15+ years of turning messy challenges into clean solutions.
I write code, solve hard problems, and help people — sometimes all at once. Heart and craft in everything.

Engineer at heart, problem-solver by nature

I’m a software engineer and technical support specialist with 15+ years of experience building and improving WordPress-powered products. My work has ranged from writing bug fixes and developing new features for plugins used by thousands of people, to creating tools that make support teams faster and more effective. I love digging into a hard problem — whether it’s a tricky PHP bug, a gnarly database query, or a customer issue nobody’s seen before.

My career has taken an unusual path: I started in support, grew into leadership, and eventually moved back closer to the code. That journey turned out to be a superpower. Having sat on both sides — as the person debugging an issue and as the manager coaching a team through it — I understand what good software needs to feel like for the people who use it every day. It’s made me a better engineer and a more empathetic collaborator.

From support to code — and back again

Builder of things that make teams better

Some of the work I’m most proud of isn’t customer-facing at all. At The Events Calendar, I built the first version of their demo site integration, developed a WP All Import add-on for their new data storage system, and drove UX improvements to the Promoter admin interface. I’ve also designed and developed websites for small and medium businesses as a freelancer since 2015 — every project a chance to solve a real problem for a real person.

Outside of work, I speak at WordCamps when I can and write on my blog. I’m an active member of the WordPress community and genuinely enjoy sharing what I know. Most importantly, I’m a dad to three kids — which, honestly, has taught me more about patience, prioritization, and getting things done than any job ever could. There’s a lesson every day.

Community, family, and always learning
